About

I’m a Product, UX, and Service Designer with a background in industrial design. I learned to think about systems, constraints, and real-world use long before pixels ever entered the picture.

I started my career designing physical products, prototyping, thinking through manufacturing, and watching how people interacted with their environment. That experience still shapes how I approach digital work today. The medium changed, but the core questions didn’t: who is this for, what problem are we really solving, and how does it hold up in real situations?

Over the past several years, I’ve focused on UX and service design across complex products and organizations. I’ve led end-to-end design work, partnered closely with product and engineering, and helped establish UX practices and teams from the ground up. At Solo, I founded and led UX for a real-time solar proposal platform used live in sales conversations, where speed, clarity, and trust weren’t optional.

At one point, my family and I converted a school bus and lived and traveled in it for over a year. It was an experience that reshaped how we see the world—slowing down, exploring new places, and meeting people from all walks of life. It gave us perspective, stories, and a deep appreciation for curiosity and shared experiences as a family.

I care deeply about human-centered design, but not as a buzzword. I care about how people feel using a product, where they get confused, and what quietly excites them. I’m detail-oriented, a little obsessive about clarity, and always trying to see things through someone else’s eyes.

Outside of work, I’m a photographer, traveler, husband, father, longboarder, and longtime wearer of eyeglass frames. I’ve survived two rounds of leukemia, which gave me perspective, humility, and a strong belief that everyone is carrying a story you can’t see. It taught me to be curious about people and to listen more closely.

I work comfortably in remote environments, take ownership of problems, and communicate clearly. I’m currently looking for a remote Senior or Lead UX role where I can help teams tackle complex problems, build strong design foundations, and create thoughtful, usable products and experiences that hold up over time.
